Which is the best way to learn Polish to a good level?

I have a Polish colleague at work and she has been teaching me some really basic Polish, however I really want to make the effort to learn it to a good level. I really love learning new things and it seems like a perfect opportunity! Does anyone know of any good programmes / books / audio books?

ooooh Polish…tough language, I suggest you make an account on livemocha.com, no payments ever, you learn polish by, when you first learn it, you go by each lesson first with them speaking the words to you, then you review it, speak it, then write the language. There are also people that are Polish on the site to help you and comment on how to improve your Polish also.
Pimsler language programme is pretty good. Maybe a bit slow sometimes
the database I maintain lists colleges / universities in North America that teach less commonly taught languages. Taking a course might serve you well.
