Do asians have any interest in learning croatian(hrvatski) language?
For those who don't know...
croatian is a South Slavic language spoken chiefly by Croats in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighbouring countries, as well as by the Croatian diaspora worldwide.[wiki]

I got the impression that other Slavic languages are popular such as russian and polish.

I already know all western Slavic languages (Polish, Czech, Slovak) and now I want to know if I should go south or east? I also know the cyrillic alphabet so that's not a problem. It's on my bucket list to learn them all.

I'm interested in various Slavic languages (Polish, Serbian, etc.) and was told to start with Russian to not only learn a useful language but a gateway language to other West, South, and east Slavic languages.

Who out there knows some Polish?

I've seen a lot of people on here asking about French, Spanish, etc. (Latin languages or Germanic). How bout some Slavic languages? Anybody out there speak Polish or Russian? I'm trying to learn Polish and I was wondering if anyone knows any good sites, books, publications, or other ways of practicing so that I can become fluent. If anybody has any verbs they'd like to give me, they would be appreciated as well.
I'm looking for useful phrases, common verbs (to speak, to say, etc.). I would also like any suggestions for textbook-like publications. Also, my vocab is kinda weak, but I'm just looking for suggestions.

Is Polish a nice language??

Does it sound to you non-Polish speakers. Is it nicer than most Slavic languages , I''m doing a report on Slavic langs. Is it nice to you?

Slavic Language (Polish?) Translation??? ?

I got a text message. Wrong #, but I wanna find out what it means. It says:

"Czy mozesz mnie gdzies spotkac jutro?"

I'm half Polish but don't speak or read Polish, except for a few words (yet). I'm positive that it's a slavic language. I really think it's Polish because I've asked 3 different friends who speak 3 different slavic languages, and besides, I really thought I knew it was when I first saw the message. Thanks in advance!!!
WAHHHH!!!!! U GUYS GOTTA FIGHT OVER BEST ANSWER!?!?!?!?!?!

My dad is from Poland and I want to learn a language that would help me in learning Polish from him.
Would Russian be helpful because they are both Slavic languages?

are there any sites that i can look at that i can find employment with minimal college experience being a bilingual person in slavic languages?
really with the nike answers? really? thank you to the normal answers though!

I'm an American, and I took Russian for a while in college, but no Polish.
Since Poland was Communist for many years, and also because it's another Slavic languages, will most Poles be able to speak and understand Russian, too?
