Can anyone translate this recipe into Polish?
My friend wants to see if a local baker can cook this recipe she found in an old cookery book. The only trouble is the baker speaks Polish and needs the recipe translated. If you can help youll bring this 100 year old recipe back to life
Heres the recipe
To make 10 x 450g / 1lb loaves ?? check
100g (4oz) dried yeast or 200g (8oz) fresh yeast
2 ½ litres (3 ½ pints) water
2kg (4 ½ lbs) rye flour
2kg (4 ½ lbs) strong white flour
50g (2 oz) salt
100g (4oz) caraway seed (optional)
1.Mix the flours, caraway and salt together.
2.Dissolve the yeast into the lukewarm water. Then pour it into the flour mixture to make a dough.
3.Knead until smooth and elastic.
4.Set aside to rise overnight.
5.In the morning knead the dough again and form into loaves.
6.Allow to prove.
7.Bake at 200 oC (400 oF) for 30 minutes.
