How do I stay confident in this situation?

I work as a researcher at the #1 news station in the country. I'm working hard to become a reporter, but since english's not my native language,I have a small accent. I've been working very hard to polish my pronunciation as my boss told me it was the only thing preventing me from working in front of the camera. Lately,I have been discouraged because everyone seems to be moving up and I'm struggling to convince everyone I am worth being a reporter as well. How can I stay confident in this cut-troath industry?

I've been wondering this for years, Polish is easy, but Russian takes tongue and throat work. Chinese is tonal, writing system is difficult, the pronunciation though is somewhat easy, but thats my opinion. Do you agree that Russian is the hardest language. I'm asking those who have experiences with languages or regular people who think they can answer this question.

I know "W imię Ojca, i Syna, i Ducha Świętego" is "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit" in Polish. But I'm not sure if I'm saying it correctly. Could someone provide a pronunciation for me? Dzieki :)

Where can I learn Polish online for free?

How do you say "stick figure" in Polish?

Please include pronunciation, or at least the correct polish symbols.

I've been speaking English my whole life but I still can't seem to figure out something. The word "Polish" as in the language of Poland, and the word "polish" as in "I will polish your shoes", they are spelled the same way, yet they have two different pronunciations? To my understanding, a capital letter cannot change the pronunciation of a word like that. I'm I not understanding something or is this just a contradiction of pronunciation in the English language?

Thanks for your help.

Polish Celebration Song "Sto Lat"?

I was wondering if anybody could help me with singing the Polish Song "Sto Lat".
I don't speak Polish so I'm not completely sure of how to pronounce the lyrics of the song. My dad knows how to sing it but I'm not very good at learning by repeating somebody, I have to actually see the pronunciation written down for me to be able to learn it.
I'm going to meet my Polish relatives in Canada soon for a wedding and I want to know how to sing the song.
Can anybody help??
These are the lyrics in Polish.

Sto lat, sto lat,
Niech żyje, żyje nam.
Sto lat, sto lat,
Niech żyje, żyje nam,
Jeszcze raz, jeszcze raz, niech żyje, żyje nam,
Niech żyje nam!
I want to know how to sing the song in POLISH. I already know what it means in English.

I am looking at the pronunciation of the surname Broniarczyk. I believe it is a Polish surname.

Learn basic German and Polish online?

I am part German and Polish, and I want to touch on my roots. Someday I want to go to Germany and study for a semester during college (Spring Break next year I'm going for a week), as well as Poland if I could, and I just want to brush up on the basics--- alphabet, pronunciation, vital vocabulary/phrases, etc.

Does anyone have any good FREE online helping tools suggestions? It means a lot to me, to learn about where I came from, because the rest of my family doesn't really care. :S

Thanks in advanced

I'm Polish but i can't speak fluently except for a few words. How do you say "Necktie Pastry" in polish?

I have this recipe passed down to me by my polish great-grandmother. I was told the polish translation for it was simply "necktie pastry". The pronunciation I was given was "kris-kee"? Could someone either verify or correct me. I don't speak polish at all so a pronunciation would be helpful as well:)
It's not exactly a cookie or a dumpling, it's more like fried dough. You roll it out and shape it into a "necktie", and then fry it up and toss it in powdered sugar. Nothing fancy, but delicious!
