I am a teacher at a high school in Scotland. Today a Polish pupil joined my class and she doesn't speak a word of English. I would love to find some online resources to help her learn the basics very quickly.
Thanks for the quick reply. I already know a few Polish phrases. I can say things like welcome, good day, how are you? , i have a question, do you have a question?, are you sure?, well done, yes and no. I really am trying to help her.

What is the best way to learn Polish?

I'm in high school and learning Spanish, but I REALLY would like to learn Polish (one day I hope to visit a friend who lives in Poland). For now I've just been printing out some basic Polish phrases and travel vocabulary. Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to learn Polish? Should I go to a class, buy a software program... etc. I'm not looking for a quick and easy way, I'd really like to learn the actual language, not just phrases.

It'd be awesome if your answers were from personal experience with the Polish language.

i have a english to polish dictionary but it does not tell you how to pronounce the polish phrases and words. i need to hear them or read them phonetically.
