Hi
My polish friends have bought a new laptop with Windows Vista and they have asked me to try and change the language on it from English to Polish but I am having a bit of trouble doing this. I have looked on the Microsoft website and it doesn't look like the Polish language is available to download.
Can anyone help me?

I am advancing in my study of the Polish language and I would like to know if I am coming along okay. Here's a sentence that I tried to put together. It should say, "That Slovak girl is pretty. I think her name is Jana." Here's what I translated it as: "To Słowenka jest ładna. Myślę że się imie Jana." How'd I do?

...when I visited Krakow for 4 months in 2007, I liked watching this soap opera. Though I didn't really understand much, since my Polish language skills are limited. Who sings that beautiful theme song of 'Na Dobre i Na Zle' and what do the words mean?

In the show Chuck Season 3 Episode 14 - "Chuck Versus the Honeymooners" Yvonne Strahovski has a part where she speaks Polish to a punk rocker who is portrayed by her in real life boyfriend. I know she is speaking legitimate Polish, but is he? I don't speak the language so I can't tell.
Did they just give him a specific line to practice or does he actually speak legitimate Polish in real life?
What I'm saying though is the guy Tim Loden of Polish decent. Like just because he was speaking in real Polish doesn't mean he actually knows the language, they could have just given him the line to memorize, even though he doesn't understand.
What I'm trying to ask is: is he of Polish decent, and does he REALLY know the Polish language?
But is he ACTUALLY of Polish DECENT like she is?

Hello
.
I am trying to learn the Polish language. I've been trying to learn for the past 2 years but didn't get too far. Having someone with the same hobby or is willing to help you out can be a lot easier for you to do/learn something.
So I'm looking for a "Polish Buddy."
This is for anyone who can fluently speak polish, is polish and wants help with their english, or just someone who is trying to learn.
Leave your e-mails or something like that!
Thanks you.

After I graduate High School, I plan on attending the University of Illinois and major in journalism. I hope to pass the oral exam for the Polish language and receive a certificate, therefore as a back up plan, I will minor in language interpretation and translation. Currently I am also studying the Spanish language which will greatly expand job opportunities for me in the near future. Polish school has been a wonderful as well as an educational experience for me which I will never forget.
Please do not type this into Google Translate or any other online translator, the conjugation is all wrong. I know how to translate this paragraph, but I am having trouble with some of the vocabulary like how to say "major in" and "minor in" in Polish? I gave you the whole paragraph so you'd get what I'm talking about. lol
Thank you in advance.

I'm curious about the translation of the song Jak Anioł by Kasia Kowalska. Counting to ten is about the extent of my knowledge with the Polish language, so I'm hoping that someone who speaks Polish will come across this. I like the sound of the song so I'm interested in knowing what she is actually saying. Here are the lyrics:
Naiwnie dziś chcesz zatrzymać ten czas,
masz prawo by żyć najłatwiej jak się da.
Nie bój się słów tak pragnę słyszeć, że
potrafisz sam odnależć miejsca swe.
Cały czas szukaj szans
Wyrwij się z życia ram.
Uwierz mi szczęście jest w nas.
Każdy dzień przeżywaj tak.
jakby się miał skończyć świat.
Może czas wreszcie być sobą
i zacząć na nowo.
Mogę ja i możesz ty,
Mogę ja i możesz ty,
robić tak by lepszym być
ponad strach wzbić jak anioł
wysoko tak samo.

I'm buying a gift for a religious friend who grew up bilingual in Polish. In English, the King James Bible is often regarded as the most poetic, more so than new "plain English" translations, and for many years was held to be the standard English translation. Is there an equivalent in Polish-language translations?
