My family moved to America in 1911. On my mothers side of the family I am a pure blood Polish. I know that my great-great grandmother only spoke Polish, my great grandmother wanted nothing to do with it, my grandmother speaks a little Polish and my mom and I know a few words. My mom's maiden name is Kuzniewski. I want to know how I can learn about my roots because the information I just gave is all I know.
I have always been viewed as a little Polish girl, since I was a baby my mom always called me her "Little Polish Princess." I want to learn all I can about my ancestry and traditions etc.
For my wedding I looked up Polish wedding traditions and found a few that I loved. One was the family giving wine, bread and salt to the new couple. Another I loved was the Czypek. I don't know how accurate they are I just know that is what I found by doing research.
Please help me learn about where I came from.
Also would my name (Kelli) be pronounced differently in Polish? My grandmother didn't know.

I would like to ask a really lovely Polish girl out on a date, and I would like to ask her in Polish. I understand that there are not only differences between Polish and English, but also in linguistic etiquette, so I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some tips on what to say, and how to say it (pronunciation rather than spelling) in Polish?
Thanks!!

Me and this polish girl met in school and we get on really well and I was thinking of asking her out as we seem to connect. I want to speak to her in polish though. If you have any phrases i could use I would appreciate it. Could you also tell me how to pronounce it too? Thank you!

I have to play a polish girl in a play, but I have no idea how to speak with a polish accent! I thought that I might pick it up if I heard it spoken, so do you know if any movies where the actors speak with a polish accent? Thanks!
