I don't. I don't think it's sensible. Imagine how many less people would have been able to achieve the American dream if they had to learn English fluently before coming here in the 19th and 20th century.

How many Irish, Italian, and Polish families would not be able to come here because they weren't that wealthy enough or didn't have the leisure time to learn English all by themselves.

I think the same applies today.

As far as I understood (and, correct me if I'm wrong), abortion is illegal in Poland although it is performed somewhat discreetly so I guess it's not too uncommon to have a high rate of illegitimate births.

However, I'm talking from a social point of view. Is it socially acceptable to have illegitimate births within your average-Joe Polish families?
