I bought this gold nail polish, thinking it would be perfect, but it's mainly gold sparkles, not a complete solid color. I have two coats on right now, but I can tell with one more it would be perfect. I also plan on writing the word "Enchanted <3" on my nails in black, so that would be my technical 4th coat. Then I'd do a clear coat, so it'd be five. And since I already have clear coat on the bottom, it's six. Is this too much nail polish though?

I heard my mom talking about how nail polish is a carcinogen (something that increases your risk for cancer) and am worried now. I feel like painting my nails (girly but whatever), but I want to be as healthy as I can be. My mom says that it's only with high exposure like with people who work in a salon, but I'm still concerned. Am I making mountains out of molehills?

I'm kinda board (even though it's 11:00pm) and I want to paint my nails. I have at least every shade and pink and red, and I have blue, black, and orange. Oh, and white. I'm pretty good at painting my nails so you can give my any ideas even if there advanced (rainbow patterns, stripes, writing etc.) Any suggestions? Btw I'm 11 years old.

For my public speaking and debate class I need to come up with 25 totally random uses for purple nail polish... within the next 4 hours or so... The best will get best answer and will hopefully be pretty funny when I read them tomorrow

...because I am going to an interview and any advice will help, like what to wear or what to talk about or what special papers I should bring to the interview, or how I should do my hair, and if I should put clear nail polish on my nails. Any advice will be greatly apperciated! Thank you!

I work in food service at a retirement home and the supervisors are enough to put me into that home.

Everyday we have "stand-up" where a supervisor recites a bible verse and the supervisors and the boss, along with the servers are all in the kitchen. This is basically "judgement" time, where they can critique you on work uniform and if your hair isn't the right way, or you have gum- they write you up.

My first write up was before I was on the clock and I was on the phone with my sister. (**Note- before I clocked in..) One of the supervisors saw me and reported me.

My second write up was not too long ago and it was about a tardy from 2008, and 2 call in sicks in April. They moved the time-roll back for absences. I asked my supervisor why I'm getting written up for something from 2008 and he commented "I honestly have no idea." But like a good person, I signed the paperwork.

The next write up I will be suspended.

So, I am almost sure to get written up again.

I spend 300+ dollars from Prom, including getting my nails done. (Acrylics) A girl that I work with told me that our boss wrote up 23 people in one day for having their nails done because she does not allow nails or nail polish. I spent a good amount to get them done. Personally I think they look stunning rather than unpainted fingernails.

The girl that told me this also got written up, with a supervisor attempting to rip off her nails before she began working.. Which was very unsuccessful and probably very painful.

I just do not quite understand this policy. They aren't really "supervising". They seem to be looking for a single fault we make, and write us up for it. Sometimes the supervisors will spy from another side of the building's windows and write down notes about us. Please tell me what I should do, and if I should begin looking for a new job.

I want to write some words on my nails but, I dont know whether to use nail polish or to buy a nail pen...Help?

I have black hair and light olive skin and I can never choose a right nail polish color to wear. Any nail polish that I ever buy is not right for me and always come out looking bad on my nails (which are semi-long, but I am in the process of growing them out.) I have a lot of nail polishes that I am never going to use. I write this question because I just bought another nail polish color and it came out looking really bad on me. Can anyone please help me? i had the sudden urge to paint my nails my favorite color red that i have on my toenails all the time.
is it going to look slutty if i wear the red nailpolish? i have fair skin and it's a red nail polish. i'm talking red. im 14 btw and in 9th grade.

i prefer short nails with polish.

I have a sally hansen purple nail polish that I used to paint my nails. It's been hours and the color has dried, but its still smudging and if I touch it, it comes off. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Why is this happening? The coat I used wasn't even that thick.

i ran out of nail polish remover, so do u think i should remove my nail polish with white board cleaner? will it turn my nails yellow? or get it damaged? im just wondering, dont write anything bad. hehe

My mom is not a religious fanatic or anything, but she won't let me wear black nail polish. I'm not 'emo' or 'goth', or whatever most posers call themselves, but I just like that color for nails! I wear nail polish ALL THE TIME but since I'm older now, I have been wondering if nail polish is actually bad for you. I'm not talking about actually trying to drink or sniff it, I just mean wearing it normally. Nail polish remover can remove permanent marker stains right, so if it can do that, what effect will it have on your nails?

I just talked to my aunt and she said she'll let her daughter (my cousin) paint her nails as long as the colors don't make her look mature like a teenager or an adult.

I'm thinking of getting my cousin pastel colors. What other colors should I get her? What colors should she stay away from? Are neon or bright colors okay for an 8 year old?

OK This is a rather embarrassing question But how do you remove Nail polish without nail polish remover.My niece talked me into getting a girly makeover but wouldn't to remove the makeup ,pink nail polish and styled hair. I've got like 3 coats of pink nail polish on my nails and toes so how do you take it off? Also-how do you remove waterproof mascara,eyeshadow? How do you uncurl hair?

The other day i told my mom i was feeling blue and all of a sudden my ipod shuffle played Blue Suede Shoes by Elvis P. and when we got out of the car and went to a shop this women offered to put blue nail polish on my nails and stuff.
