At my work a coworker of ours wrote on the white board and on blastic bins with permanent marker. We've tried rubbing alcohal, Goobi-Gone, and Nail Polish remover. Nothing has worked and we're thinking of trying keorsine (sp). Or just buying a new white board.
Any suggestions though?

I wrote Chuck Norris jokes all over my white vans, but now I want to get rid of it and make it into a Nintendo shoe, but these darn jokes won't come out. I've tried hairspray, rubbing alcohol, and nail polish remover and bleach, but none have worked. Please help!

For a health assignment, I need to make a collage of images and a written assignment. I lost my paper with a list of examples that had items in our everyday lives with poisons also found in cigarettes, and now, I can't really think of anything. So I need five to ten objects that have toxic ingredients also found in cigarettes, and the name of the poison.
Like, I thought of nail polish remover. I'm not quite sure of the chemical that's in them, but I'm just using it as an example.
Thanks!

I just bought an Adidas Speedcell soccer ball from my friend and it has his name written on it in large letters. I tried nail polish remover, WD-40, bleach, and dishwashing soap. But none of those materials have worked so far. Does anybody have any suggestions that they know will work on the soccer ball?

I was being creative and decided to write on the toilet paper roll: Happy Mothers Day.
But, the marker went through the toilet paper leaving black spots all over my parent's toilet top.
Weird situation but what do i do!?
I tried: water, toothpaste, nail polish remover and dry erase marker.
Still the same spots!

How much acetone (%)is in nail polish remover?
I know this question's ridiculous but it's a question in my organic chemistry lab. I asked my lab TA but she barely speaks English and was no help.

I think the winner, for me, is the time I heard someone talking about using nail polish remover to clean a piercing, since it has alcohol in it, and alcohol is *shakes head* good for piercings.
Distinee:
While a sea salt solution is good for piercings, ocean water is not.
The water in the ocean is filled with bacteria and the salinity is too high.

I have an experiment to find physical and chemical changes that happen with my household materials. I used bleach, cod liver oil, children's allergy medicine, and nail polish remover. My teacher wants us to write the results and answer a few other questions I've got handled in paragraph form.

I'm doing an experiment and it involves chlorophyll chromatography. I tested it on water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and nail-polish remover (in this case, the main ingredient is benzene). Chlorophyll proved to be soluble in rubbing alcohol and nail-polish remover. My assignment is to write a conclusion on why this happened and I'm not exactly sure. Any information relevant to my experiment will be greatly appreciated.
