How to get permanent marker off of white boards?

At my work a coworker of ours wrote on the white board and on blastic bins with permanent marker. We've tried rubbing alcohal, Goobi-Gone, and Nail Polish remover. Nothing has worked and we're thinking of trying keorsine (sp). Or just buying a new white board.

Any suggestions though?

Sounds dumb? Yeah. Yeah it is. But I wanna write something witty on it, but it's black. So i thought maybe I could paint it white with nail polish and then maybe either use a pen or marker or scrape the words into it. Would I destroy the key?

How do you get permanent marker out of rubber?

I have carpeted stairs in my classroom. On the edge, there is a very hard rubber piece, I believe it is glossed over. My kids wrote some very choice words in black permanent marker and I can't get it out. I've tried magic erasers, nail polish remover, dry erase markers, and dry erase marker REMOVER. The eraser faded the writing, but that's it. Any suggestions?

How to get sharpie off of a rubbermaid box!?

okay, my mom brought home this rubbermaid box for me to use in my room. And it has sharpie marker written on it. I tried nail polish remover, but that didn't work. Any ideas? I need to get this permanent marker off as soon as I can! Please Help!

I was being creative and decided to write on the toilet paper roll: Happy Mothers Day.
But, the marker went through the toilet paper leaving black spots all over my parent's toilet top.
Weird situation but what do i do!?
I tried: water, toothpaste, nail polish remover and dry erase marker.
Still the same spots!

It is VERY important that it does not come off! I usually hand wash it with one of those sponges on a handle with hot hot water and dish soap, but it just seems grimy. When there's water in the bottle, it sticks to the sides of the bottle and like doesn't move, making me think the inside is filthy!

There is writing on the bottle in permanent marker, then covered with nail polish. I probably wrote over it and covered it again twice. But if it comes off completely, I cannot rewrite it. Long story.

Can I put the bottle in the dishwasher without the writing coming off?

I wrote on a bristle board type material and I want to make sure it won't fade or rub off or anything, is there anything I can apply over the writing such as clear nail polish or clear tape that will insure it won't get ruined in anyway?

its written in sharpie so does it even need to be protected with it being permanent marker?

thanks

My friends wrote all over my binder with a permanent marker and i've tried hair spray and alcohol and nail polish remover... But none seem to work all i'm doing is just getting a paper tall and putting each product on and it just makes the black marker BLUE!!!! HELP!!!!!

I have a Sony Vaio laptop and it has black lettering and a couple keys letters are wearing off. Do I need a sort of marker? Nail Polish? help me out and receive 10 points. Thanks

What can I write on my car with?

I am leaving for Florida tonight. And we want to write on the car. Someone told me white shoe polish would be ok. And the removal wasn't hard. Would that be ok to write on my car? Or should I just forget and go to the store and get a window marker?

Question: Is nail polish bad for your nails?

I wear nail polish ALL THE TIME but since I'm older now, I have been wondering if nail polish is actually bad for you. I'm not talking about actually trying to drink or sniff it, I just mean wearing it normally. Nail polish remover can remove permanent marker stains right, so if it can do that, what effect will it have on your nails?
