Is the Polish and Russian language similar in any way?

Because I always get the accent mixed up so I was wondering how similar the languages are.

Polish and Russian are both Slavic languages, but Russian is an East Slavic language and Polish is a West Slavic language. They are about as related as German and Dutch, that is to say that they are quite closely related, but different enough to be distinct from one another.
Me too, I even mix those both languages with Ukrainian and Moldovan..
i’ve answered this question before somewhere. i’m Russian and i don’t understand a word in Polish. English and German are related and i don’t come across many Englishmen who understand German just because they speak English.
I don’t know either language.All languages share some similarities.However because countries share borders it does not mean their languages are close.
