Do I need to take another language if I know Polish?

Im in the Pre IB program, and I was told that I need 5 years of a foreign language. I already know Polish, do I need all 5 years?

    If they say you need to study 5 years of a foreign language, then you need to study 5 years of a foreign language. Where’s the confusion?

    Another point: if you already know Polish, it doesn’t count as a foreign language if you’re Polish. I don’t know whether you’re Polish or not, since you didn’t clarify that point in your question.

    I don’t have a clue what the ‘Pre IB’ programme is, but my observations above hold nevertheless.
