How do you say (properly with the Polish letters alike) the following:
Please do not underestimate my language abilities.
I can be better-off with having friends like you who speak these languages
Thank you!

However theres about 10 muslims who I work with and a few polish etc... who talk to there self in there own language (including management) even if your the only white/british/english speaker on shift (even though they have good english) but they still choose to speak in arabic which I think is rude and they should be a law against it like you cant smoke etc....
and Im so keen to know what there saying (I know im nosey) but I hate it when they look at people in our work place speak in there laungage then laugh...I so want to say what I think but I cant coz I be sacked...

I would like to attack all of them one day, but as for now I am learning Russian and Mandarin, so I can only add one more language to my current list.
Polish
- Most speakers
- I found Russian easy so far, so its grammar should also be pretty easy
- Economically a top upcoming nation of the EU?
Slovenian
- Less speakers, so I may have some unique opportunities it one day
- I find its grammar to be the most intellectually interesting
- Seems like a pretty nice place to live in, the nation seems decently wealthy
Icelandic
- Very few speakers (less than a million), but still exerts importance on economy
- Iceland is apparently a big place for green energy, which I would like to work on one day
- Should be easiest for an English speaker
What say you? Help me choose!
You are right, but Icelandic and English's basic vocabulary should still be more similar, as they are both Germanic.

I speak Polish fluently , and I was wondering what ppl who dont speak Polish think of it. Does it sound similar to Russian to you?

I was looking at an old history textbook and read a little significant part in a chapter about Russia. In the 16th century, Russia was surrounded by the powerful Swedes, Lithuanians, and Poles in the west, and by the Turks and Crimean Tatars in the south. It is significant that when Tsar Ivan IV (ruled from 1553 to 1584) proposed a military alliance and even suggested marriage to Queen Elizabeth I of England, the king of Poland hastily wrote to Elizabeth and begged her to reject the proposition. The Polish king wrote that "up to now, we could conquer him [Ivan The Terrible] only because he was a stranger to education and did not know the arts".
I'm now thinking of an alternate outcome based on the above information. What if Elizabeth actually accepted Ivan's alliance and marriage proposal? What would a Russo-English alliance bring to history? How long would the alliance last? How would this affect England, Russia, and the rest of the world?

My mother is fluent in Polish and so are my grandparents and other extended family. Whenever we visit them, they speak only Polish and I don't understand because I don't speak Polish. I feel so left out. I've tried to learn, but it is hard to teach yourself.

Slovenian

- Seems like a pretty nice place to live in, the nation seems decently wealthy
Icelandic

- Iceland is apparently a big place for green energy, which I would like to work on one day

What is the meaning of, "partovky lamdreshka"?
I asked about this before, but I had asked if people knew german because I thought that that's what it was. Any way, people told me it wasn't german and said it might be one of the languages I listed up there. If you can make any sense out of it, Thank you.

No Mistake
Unmistakable sound of a truck pulling up,
Unmistakable sound of a door slamming shut.
Unmistakable sight of my son coming home.
Virgin white gloves,
Dress Blues with Blood Stripe,
The young man walks proudly,Cut high and tight
Shoes polished perfect
He verily flies,
O'er snow banks and ice
To get to the door
I stand there trembling
Tears spilling over,
painful joy this reunion
we've been through much,
though far apart,Five days we've got
to get caught up.

I got a few questions
1 Is it easy to use?
2 Will it teach me everything I need to know to hold a decent conversation with a group of polish speakers?
3 Will it just teach me pronunciations, or does it do spelling, grammar and pronunciations?
4 Is it accurate? I have heard of people who have used Rosetta Stone to learn a language before, and it teaching them wrong words
Thanks a bunch, and any other information would be AWSOME!

Please translate in Polish the following,
Dear Mom,
I want to thank you for always being there for me and your daughter. Your Daughter is my world, I love her very much, I know some time's I can be very shy around you, it is only because I respect you too much and dont want to embarras myself. I love your Daughter and I love you and Totush, My Mother was never really there for me as a child, because she was a single mother always working, And you are the mother I wish my Mom should of been. You are a wonderful mother and I thank you for everything, and thanks again for always being there for us and your grandkids. I dont know how to speak Polish and if I could I would tell you this in person, but I love you. Please let Violetta know I try, I know she is upset alot, but I try so hard to make her happy, I just wish she could see this, I always wanted to tell you this, so I am writing it in polish so you understand how much you, your husband, and daughter and whole family mean to me

Hello,
Can anybody help me. I am looking into the process of learning Polish and ideally gaining a reconised qualification in the process to help me with job applications. Does anybody know where i can take sure part time course ideally in the Sutton Coldfield area or fairly nearby.....?
I have a three year period in which i am hoping to have a good knowledge of the language, if i work hard does anybody know what stage i could get to in this time? How long does it take to become fluent in a language if you work hard??????!!!
Your help will be appriciated..
Cheers

Apologies in advance for the soppiness...
So, Polish is not my strong point! Well, I don't speak it at all!! Basically, my girlfriend is Polish and her nickname is sheep (don't really know why, just kinda evolved). So on occasion, via email, SMS etc. I call her owieczka (sheep)!
I've written a poem for her in English that I'd like to have professionally framed in time for Christmas and I desperately want to make sure I get the title right. I know that sometimes the translation does not always carry-over correctly so I would be happy with any of the following:
'The Beautiful Sheep'
'Dear Sheep'
'The Little Sheep'
Hoping someone can help.
Many thanks in advance.

I have a real problem and im pretty sure alot of other people might have it to. I agree with having rights here that is why we live in this country. But how can people come to this country and not even try to learn english. Im not just tlaking about latinos im talking about all immigrants. Whether it be polish or mexican or russian. I walked into a store in Chicago recently and couldnt find an address. I asked for help and nobody spoke english everybody just spole polish and it drove me crazy. They all looked at me like I was crazy and didnt belong there.
You can live a decent life functioning here in the States unless you learn the language.
My mother come from Mexico legally and struggled to learn english because she knew she had to in order to be successful.
Like Governer Schwarenegger said, and i totally agree. If you want to learn english you have to turn off the spanish language channels.
Input please?
For you viva la raza people, i am not segregating just the latinos so shove that La Raza Cochinada where the sun dont shine. Of course im not tlaking about people that just got here either. Dont be stupid im not expecting them to learn over night. DUH. Im talking about people who come here and live here and dont even try to learn and belevie they dont have to. My grandmother was like this.
If you love La Raza so much help our own people to get better and become more successful. And not live in ignorance and poverty. You cannot be a success in this country without learning english.
and the chick with the name
Mexicans are the best
is a troll.
